About Me:

I am an experienced UKCP Integrative Psychotherapist and Supervisor working with individuals and groups. I believe that human connection can be transformative and helping my clients and supervisees feel understood is at the heart of what I do. I have been in clinical practice since 2013 with experience in a variety of professional fields including the NHS, women’s specialist services, community organisations and higher education.

I specialise in working with the unique of experiences of women, including gender-based violence and abuse, difficulties relating to pregnancy and motherhood, infertility, identity, health and life transitions. I am trained in the treatment of trauma from a body informed and Sensorimotor approach.

I am a LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist and offer an inclusive space where diversity and difference is valued and celebrated. Anti-oppressive practice and trauma-informed principles underpin my approach.

  • Qualifications and Accreditations:

    I am a UKCP Registered and Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist and trained at the Metanoia Institute in London.

    I am a UKCP Recognised Supervisor and trained at CSTD-Bath.

    I am a Certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapist for the treatment of trauma.

    I have four main clinical qualifications:

    1. MSc Integrative Psychotherapy, Metanoia Institute/ Middlesex University

    2. Diploma in Supervision, Centre for Supervision Training Development (CSTD- Bath)

    3. Clinical Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy, Metanoia Institute

    4. Clinical Diploma in Integrative Psychodynamic Counselling, Metanoia Institute

    I am committed to my own personal and professional development and attend regular training and keep up to date with the latest research and psychological treatments. I have additional in-depth training in evidenced based approaches including Compassion Focused Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.

  • I have 25 years experience of supporting people with their mental well-being. I began my career working in the voluntary sector in front-line roles in the refugee sector and women’s organisations. I first undertook training in counselling in 2010 and then commenced psychotherapy training in 2012. I went on to work in Higher Education Counselling and Mental health Services for 11 years. I have experience of providing counselling and psychotherapy in a diverse range of settings including:

    • National Health Service (NHS) Primary Care Context

    • Women's Refuge Services

    • Charity Sector

    • Community Organisations

    • Private Practice

    I have varied experience working with people experiencing a range of different needs, including depression, various forms of anxiety, complex trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, work related stress, burn out, health difficulties and bereavement and loss. I have a particular interest and expertise in working with gender-specific issues including gender based violence and abuse, difficulties relating to pregnancy and motherhood, infertility, identity, life transitions and women’s health.
